Edinburgh - Day 2 - Part 2

Next we popped into the Camera Obscura, which was a real treat. Built in 1853, it has the best view of the Royal Mile as well as a bunch of fun, goofy illusions and holograms.

The views were really good too. The locals refer to the twirly building in the background as pile of poo 😅

Afterwards, we stopped for late afternoon drinks by the Greyfriars Bobby Statue, a dog so devoted that he reportedly slept on his master's grave for 14 years. I bet he would have liked Lord Darnley's 3 high stacked pillows!

There's also a statue - You can rub his nose for good luck...

For dinner we went to Cafe Royal, an old school cafe with 1880s tiles featuring inventors.

The walk back to our flat at night was very lovely!

Back to the flat for a nightcap. Great first day!!
