Oban Day 6 (part 2)

After the Castle we walked back into town for lunch. Based on recommendations, we stopped at the pier for a to-go lunch from a seafood shack. It was good, but a bit over hyped (IMO).

Sadly no one took pics of our park bench lunch. After lunch we grabbed some coffees, walked around, and had a pint before our tour at...

We were part of a group tour, which started off immediately with samples of their whiskies. Now this is our kind of tour!

This guy is clearly has a discerning palate...

...or bodies buried in his backyard. One of the two.

The tour was very cool and covered the A-Z of the whisky making process.

Yah, more samples!

After the tour Rachel and Holly INSISTED that we stop in the tasting room to try samples of the other whiskies that Oban makes.

Todd and I reluctantly went along with their scheme.

After the tour, we enjoyed a nice walk around town.

We had dinner at the Oban Brasserie. It was a nice, large restaurant inside a hotel, but oddly we were the only people there the entire time. Usually that's a sign to move on, but the food was good and it was nice to have our final meal in Oban with a place all to ourselves.

During our meal, there was a local high school group of bagpipe players across the street.

Though they were very good, my brother surely would have yelled out "Flat! You're flat!"

Before heading back to the cottage for nightcaps and packing, we enjoyed a sunset walk along the shore. We all really loved Oban and
would defintely come back!
